PRIVACY NOTICE - HERITAGE INNOVATION FUND RESEARCH SURVEY AND INTERVIEWS

This notice explains how we use any information we gather in our survey or interviews.

This research is run by Upstream Research Limited, on behalf of the National Lottery Heritage Fund. Upstream is a research, policy and evaluation consultancy.

The purpose is to help better understand the experience of taking part in the Heritage Innovation Fund. Survey and interview responses will be used to analyse what worked for participants, what impact the funding had, and what could come next. The information is collected on the basis of consent, and of legitimate purposes for undertaking this research. 

Survey responses ask for your organisation. This is to allow us to see how different kinds of organisation experienced the funding. It does not ask for your personal information. No other questions would enable personal identification, unless you choose to put your name into an open-text answer. Responses are collected on a survey hosted by Survey Monkey. Survey Monkey records the IP address used to complete the survey. It does not record your email, address, or any details that would identify you, unless you chose to add those details in an open-text answer.

Interview material will be anonymised, unless you actively request for any comment or quote to be attributed to you. If we collect a comment or quote that we believe may identify you, or needs to identify your organisation in order to support our written analysis provided to the NLHF, we will get in touch to confirm that you are happy for the organisation to be named alongside the quote.

All information collected will be processed, protected and disposed in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and will only be used by us to inform the evaluation of the Heritage Innovation Fund. We will not disclose any personal information to any other third parties unless required to do so by law.

Upstream Research Limited will retain the survey responses for the duration of its contract with the National Lottery Heritage Fund, and deleted as soon as practical after our obligations under that contract are fulfilled.

You have the right to withdraw consent to use your data in line with this notice at any point.
